When I was 5 years old, I would prop myself up on a barstool in the kitchen to get a glimpse of what my dad was whipping up for breakfast. I adored Dad’s perfectly cooked omelets (with just the right amount of onion-filled hash browns) and fresh biscuits on the side.
To say I enjoyed the pleasures of food as a kid would be a complete understatement. I loved all aspects of a home-cooked meal—especially eating it!
Little did I know that one day I would meet a boy, Nathaniel Hoff, who shared the very same feelings I had when a fresh-baked banana loaf came out of the oven. We both loved music, but we knew we were in love when we realized that we agreed about the secret to a perfect lasagna: thick homemade pasta noodles.
It’s been a decade of making music (and food) together, and, after successfully touring America and Europe, we said, “I do” here in the Midwest. Shortly after, we made the leap to a new home in Brooklyn, pursuing our love of music—and eating some of the best food New York has to offer.
