Farm House Bakery is run by the most joyful folks we know. They haul it hard in the morning, way before the rooster crows. This is the ultimate family-owned and -operated breakfast joint. You can find Dawn and Virgil rolling dough and pinching piecrusts around 4:30am as the smoker out back works its magic on a batch of chickens. For over six years we have been ordering the maple pecan scone, slightly warmed. I order the vegetarian breakfast burrito, add black beans, a side of hash browns with onion and two containers of their homemade salsa on the side. Nathaniel loves a simple breakfast of two eggs, hash browns (with onion) and a side of their signature thinly sliced smoked chicken breast. (Be sure to add a container of extra dry rub on the side!) This breakfast will wake up all of your senses and start your day off right!
