Local hangouts and the regulars who frequent them
Walk into a neighborhood coffee shop, café, diner or restaurant and you can spot them. They are the people who look like they belong, who fit, who are sitting comfortably in a “usual” seat. Their preferences are often known and offered before even being requested, and the conversations they have with their counterparts can be the envy of those just passing through. These people are “regulars,” and they are the lifeblood of small businesses. Edible Michiana asked four regulars to talk about the places they frequent and why.
