- ¼ cup pulp-free orange juice
- ½ ounce vanilla rosemary simple syrup

Instructions
Makes one 16-ounce cocktail or two 8-ounce cocktails
Vanilla Rosemary Simple Syrup
Combine sugar, water and rosemary in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove the pan from the heat, add vanilla, and steep for 10 minutes. Remove the rosemary sprigs, let the syrup cool to room temperature, and store in a jar in the refrigerator up to 1 month.
Cocktail
Combine bourbon, apple cider, orange juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker or large jar and muddle the lemon and thyme into the liquid. Add about 1 cup ice and shake. Fill a 16-ounce glass or two 8-ounce glasses with ice and pour in the cocktail. Garnish with orange slices and a fresh sprig of rosemary, if desired.
