The crave-worthy house pastrami sandwich comes with a pickle and a side salad. Chef David Brandes, who learned to smoke meat at Milt’s BBQ in Chicago, plans to add corned beef and smoked turkey to the list of meats he prepares in-house.
“The philosophy we have here is to help as many people as we can. It doesn’t matter if you are Jewish or not,” says Brandes. While the grocery primarily serves the Orthodox community, the deli’s clientele is equally Jewish and non-Jewish.
