Join John Baker, Iowa State University Beginning Farmer Center, as he discusses the perennial problem in farm business succession planning; determining the value of the contribution of the in-business heir to the wealth of the owners of the business.  All too often the value of the contribution is either ignored or undervalued.  Thus the in-business heir must purchase the value of the wealth created and left in the estate.  This often leads to failure of the business and alienation of the family.
