Add some local sparkle to your seasonal celebrations with these special drink recipes from Fruitbelt Soda (see Edible Michiana's Fruitbelt Soda feature here). We recommend pairing these cocktails with some great regional cheese, like chevre, tomme or mattone from Evergreen Lane Creamery in Fennville, MI. They are also delicious with cured meats, quiche, olives and pickles.

Pink Pearl Sour

2 ounces Fruitbelt Sour Cherry Zing
2 ounces Journeyman W.R. Whiskey
½ ounce lime juice
A few dashes of Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters
Slice of Pink Pearl apple for garnish

Mix together over ice. Garnish with Pink Pearl heirloom apple (from Treemendus Orchard) or whatever nice apple you can get your hands on and a sprig of rosemary.

Sawyer Apple Babe

2 ounces Fruitbelt Tart Apple Dream Sparkling Soda
2 ounces Journeyman Last Feather Rye
1 ounce McClary’s Michigan Apple Pie Shrub
1 cranberry and 1 fir sprig, for garnish

On ice is nice! Garnish with a single cranberry and a fir sprig.

Chikaming Zing

2 parts Fruitbelt Sour Cherry Zing
3 parts prosecco
1 sprig basil, for garnish

Mix together in a champagne flute and garnish with something green like a sprig of fresh basil.

Where to find Fruitbelt Soda

Fruitbelt is coming soon to a grocer near you: Look for it at Local New Buffalo and other independently owned specialty stores, breweries, orchards and restaurants. If you’d be interested in carrying Fruitbelt or if you would like to pre-order a case, email hello@fruitbelt.com.

Updates will be posted on the Fruitbelt Soda Facebook page. You can also find Fruitbelt on their website, Fruitbelt.com.
