There is a whole world of honey outside of the plastic honey bear we grew up with on our kitchen counters. Chef Carrie Schloss’ new book, The Asheville Bee Charmer, provides an in depth education of all things honey. She explores the different single varietal honeys with flavors and colors that range from light to golden and sweet to deep, dark, nutty brown. Chef Schloss then gives over 130 sweet and savory recipes showcasing those different honeys. You will leave excited and confident to work different honeys into everything from breakfast, dinner, dessert, and cocktails after she shares her knowledge and favorite cooking techniques.

Please join us at Granor Farm for a tasting of single varietal honeys followed by a family style meal based around recipes from the book. You will leave with a copy of the Asheville Bee Charmer, a full belly, a satiated sweet tooth, and excitement for all things made by bees.

Tickets available online at the event website and must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be available at the door.
