Elkhart County Food Council Kick-Off
The Elkhart County Food Council has been working toward building strong local food systems for Elkhart County residents since 2014. This work has identified three priority areas: Food Access, Health & Food Education, and Food Production & Economics. At this kickoff producers, restaurateurs, community health, chambers, educators, retail, and all those interested in the healthy food movement will come together to hear about the council's work and how growing our food systems will support quality of life in this region.
In addition to exhibits there wil be a presentation by nationally-renowned Ken Meter who will focus on “Healthy Food, Healthy Economy, and Healthy Community.”
